Post Wedding Rituals
The further rituals and functions are organised at the groom\'s house in the welcome of the bride.
The Grihapravesh is the first ritual namely meaning entering the house. The groom\'s mother washes the couple\'s feet with milk and water after which the custom of aarti is done. The bride then knocks off a glass or kalash filled with rice and both the bride and groom enter the house with their right foot first.
The Reception is the party thrown amd hosted by the groom\'s side in the welcome of the bride and as a celebration for the beginning of a new chapter in both the newly wed\'s life where the bride\'s family is also invited.
